Small Request

When you have a designated Guest Room in your home, you always want your temporary roommates to feel at home, but not so much that your furniture gets scratched up, walls dented, stains on the duvet etc... After all, you aren't a hotel room, but a homey place for your loved ones to lay their head and you'd like to make sure they respect your things right? We just purchased new furniture for our guest room and to keep it looking nice for everyone who wishes to come stay with us, I designed a small request, if you will. Don't get me wrong, I love my guests, but I'm not made of money and would like to think my guests would respect my property as much as I would respect theirs.

I am so fond of baby boys, I think they are so hilarious and they only get more fun as they age.

This baby boy piece was made for a friend, I love how it turned out, especially the elephant! This will look so adorable hanging from a shelf w/hangars and photos of your sleeping baby in black & white or sepia tone hanging on either side.

Ahhh, where it all began....my E.P. peeps will recognize this one. This was my first vinyl experience and I've been hooked ever since! I thought it turned out pretty good seeing as I was scared to death about laying the vinyl down crooked and sanding the edges too much but I know I wasn't the only one feeling that way that night! Thanks ladies for an awesome evening!!

This is hanging on my guest bathroom door right off my kitchen, it looks better than the pictures (the small dark hallway isn't the best picture studio) portray it and I LOVE IT!

Halloween Fun

As a kid, I never got an official Halloween-store costume, I had to get creative and make my own. I do think the year I was Cruella deVille was my best work of art to this day. I believe when you are forced to be creative, you learn the most about what your abilities truly are. I love Halloween, always have, maybe because my birthday falls in October and my mom always did cool themed birthday parties for me. I made this adorable plaque to commemorate my birthday month and loved how the spider turned out, he's awesome! (this was also a giveaway a few weeks back so watch for the next giveaway....)

Anyone who has babies knows all too well that it is not fun when the baby gets woken up. This sweet piece came from inspiration from a darling little store here in TX while out for the evening with my friend Brittany from MN. The store's version was a small 3x5" plaque w/a lousy gingham ribbon, no bells and whistles and they wanted $20! No way! Who wants to pay that?? I re-created it into this...

Now, will one of you please have a boy so I can further create this into a boy version??

As baby R has been healing and G is getting into his routine and not fighting me so much I'm anxious to start creating more. I gather ideas from others as well as from my own head. This blog is my own setup of what things I can create, the possibilities are endless!!! Some may not turn out as well as in my head and mistakes are bound to happen but no one is perfect right?
